The Lottery Significant Projects Fund will allocate grants to complete large scale, community based, capital expenditure projects with a total cost of at least $1 million. There will be a total of $9.8 million available to distribute this year.
The fund will help complete large projects which have significance for the wider community, the region, or the nation as a whole.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have already raised significant funds for the project prior to applying to the Fund. Applicants must have raised 60 per cent of the actual project cost, and must be able to show the source of all project funding.
Projects will need to provide significant community benefits in one or more of the following areas:
• arts, culture and heritage
• sport and recreation
• conservation and the environment
• economic development
• visitor services and tourism
