COGS

Community Organisation Grants Scheme (COGS) is a community based grant-making scheme, providing grants to community organisations that provide social services to people from one or more of the COGS priority sectors. Funding decisions are made by local distribution committees (LDCs) made up of people elected by the community.* * * When to Apply? Applications open on 1 June and close on the last Friday of July each year. For 2008, the opening date is 1 June 08 and the closing date is on 25 July 08 To assist with processing over 4000 applications received annually, we urge you to submit your application as one package with all supporting documentation and well before the closing date. Our policy is that you have 10 working days from the date of submitting your application to send all supporting documentation. Failure to provide the information within this timeframe will almost certainly result in the LDC considering your application to be ineligible for the funding round.* * * If you are GST registered, all requested amounts must be GST exclusive and rounded to the nearest dollar (if approved, we will add the GST component to the grant). If your group is not GST registered, all requested amounts must be GST inclusive.* * * Regarding Registration Forms, please note that the statement in italics at the bottom of B4 is not correct. “If you are applying to COGS for more than $5,000” should now read $10,000.
